To complement Advance Monitoring Solutions CCTV installation service, the company operates a 24-hour remote monitoring centre where trained staff can identify potential threats to people and property. A reportable image or sensor activated alert received at the centre triggers a rapid response by a monitoring officer who will follow a client’s pre-determined set of procedures and/or alert emergency services as required.

Reliability, maintainability and scalability

At the heart of Advance is the ARC or Alarm Receiving Centre which is purpose built and operated to BS 5979:2000, the standard by which all reputable remote monitoring centres should operate. Recommendations in this code of practice were adhered to in the planning, construction and facilities of this 24-hour manned remote centre, which receives signals from numerous security systems such as intruder, fire, analogue and digital CCTV. Recommendations on alarm filtering, and the use of audible, visual and sequential confirmation techniques have been adopted to minimise the incidence of false alarms passed to emergency services or other response agencies.

Closed Site Sensor Activated Monitoring
This is a camera sensor activated scheme for sites with no public access e.g. secure storage compound, inside business premises, electricity substation, etc. Cameras and sensors are placed in vulnerable locations across the site. If a sensor is activated an alert is sent to the monitoring centre where the camera image is displayed and the monitoring officer carries out the set procedures.
Open Site Sensor Activated Monitoring
This is a camera sensor activated scheme for sites where surveillance is required and where there is public access, but there is no justification for individuals visiting the site outside of normal operating hours, or after dark e.g. car sales forecourt, shopping precinct loading areas, rear entrances to public buildings, etc.

24 hour Eye Time Monitoring
This scheme is for any site where 24 hour continuous surveillance is required.
Hourly Eye Time Monitoring
This scheme is for any site where continuous surveillance is required over a given period. This is useful for entering/exiting high security businesses at locking up or unlocking hours. Also it is ideal for surveillance at closing times in trouble spots of pubs and nightclubs.
